This place has been bookmarked for nine months and I finally got to try their food! Why did I wait so long?!! It's a small deli with CHEAP prices!! I got a delicious chicken salad sandwich on rye bread and several yummy brownies and cookies from their pastry case for $5 plus some change. That was a pretty cheap lunch! And they were quick at preparing it. I was there around 1pm and didn't think there would be a crowd. Minutes after I had ordered and sat down, a huge line formed. Most were for take out. This is a very popular joint is seems like - and for good reason!

This is a really good place. I like a sandwich and I love a good sandwich place. i got the reuben--which can be tricky because you can get too much kraut--too much 1000 island dressing--something, but here no. It all came together in a delicious combo. They have a great deal of variety in on the menu and it looks like you can get deli meats and other things like that. Its really good--a little hidden in the middle of a crowded area, but worth finding.

Have been three times now for breakfast and lunch. The breakfast sandwich I got had sausage, egg & cheese and was on a biscuit (also available on a bagel). Wasn't anything special but was decent sized, fresh and very inexpensive costing just over two dollars. It took between 5 - 7 minutes to get it (there was nobody waiting on me when I came in) so I wouldn't consider the service prompt or too slow. When I went for lunch I got the hummus sandwich which was absolutely amazing except for the fact they kind of skimped on the hummus. If you get it be sure to ask for extra if you love it as much as I do (I think it's a dollar charge for extra). The next time I went I got the meatball sub. Was disappointed the sandwich was microwaved but given the fact that both times cost me under five dollars (I didn't get chips or buy a drink) and the sandwiches were generous portion sizes it was worth it. Overall it isn't a great place but it is cheap, the food is fresh and the service was friendly both times I stopped in. I've had much worse in terms of quality and service while paying more at other places.

This is one of the best restaurants in the OKC metro if you ask me. Their sandwiches are made on tasty fresh baked bread with freshly sliced meat. I haven't tasted all of their sandwiches; I get the turkey (#4) most every time. Their cookies are just out of this world. Being allergic to dairy and peanuts limits me but I've tried their spritz (xmas) cookies, and their plain sugar and chocolate sugar cookies. None of them have dairy but most of their other cookies do. I come here every Saturday and strongly recommend this restaurant to anyone and everyone who has their doubts.

This place has been open as far back as I can remember. I recall riding past this place with my family as a child, because the name always stood out. My recent visit to Someplace Else Deli, it felt as though I stepped into a time machine back to 1985, and I loved it. Retro decor, wood grain on the walls, and best of all, 1985 prices. I ordered a salami and provolone sandwich for $3.85. It was served on a 7 inch roll. The bread was very fresh, as well as the ingredients. When I looked over the baked goods, I was flabbergasted when I saw the prices. Cookies were 26 cents, brownies and cinnamon rolls were .52. I surely thought this was some sort of Nigerian money scam, and as soon as I gave them my money, they would pretend like I didn't pay them. But, to my amazement, they gave me the brownie! And it was delicious. As I ate my sandwich, the bakery staff was busy cooling and slicing bread. Much of it took place in the lobby. It was interesting to watch. I love this place, and hope they never change.

I read the reviews and was excited to check it out, but I was pretty disappointed. I ordered the meatball sub, and the meatballs were very small and did not have a lot of flavor. The bread was good, & I could tell that it was baked fresh, but that was the tastiest thing from the meal. Their prices are really good so if I go back for a cheap quick sandwich I'll probably just grab a basic turkey sandwich & just stick with the classic deli meats.

It's nice to see a place where you can get a nice dessert for under a dollar to go with your meal. I got the turkey sandwich and a lemon bar( .58 I think) and it was fantastic. I also got the pasta salad as my side and a deviled egg! Both were delicious! Nice value and food! Decor lacks a little, but makes up for it with their food.

Someplace else is a really quaint little bakery and sandwich shop. Everything is done fresh, right and at an amazingly low price. I had the chicken salad sandwich with potato salad and a chocolate chip cookie. It all came out to about 7 bucks. Well worth the trip! I am looking forward to going back and trying out some of the other menu options at prices that won't break the bank.

I have been eating here since 1986. The life-long staff that work here are one of the best oiled machines I have seen. The sandwiches are always on point and the cookies are the best. Get in line at lunch because it is worth it.

So, I had to go back and visit this place because....well... I am cheap ... and who can pass up the opportunity to try and Avocado, cream cheese, and bacon sandwich. I was very intrigued by the endless tantalizing possibilities this combination could deliver and man did it deliver. The avocado, well was an avocado, but the combination with the creamy cream cheese, salty crispy bacon, and tomatoes on fresh bread just worked. It is so good that it is something I am going to start whipping up at home when I want a fat kid snack, most likely good for a hangover. I would highly recommend giving this odd combo a try, you won't be disappointed...well unless you don't like delicious food , in that case you are a lost cause anyways. All the best.

Got the turkey sandwich, chips and a soda. Sandwich was great and the bread was very fresh. Great local sandwich shop. I really want to try the reuben and kielbasa sandwich next time I am in that area.

The shrimp salad sandwich is so good that my daughter scarfs it down eating all the veggies on it! It's a miracle and delicious! The breads and the baked goods are a treat for your tastebuds. I love the small, local and friendly atmosphere. They serve breakfast too! We decided this place is a weekly tradition now. Thank you Someplace Else for being in the place you are.

I've been here a several times and I love their food each and every time. First, you gotta admit that this place is a cute little Bakery. Its so homely that you have no choice but to fall in love. If you are from a big city, this place reminds you of a good suburban area. They have plenty of seating for everyone and really nice people serving. Second, their food is amazing, even for vegetarians. I ordered a vegetable sandwich. Now, I dont know about you, but I am a cheese lover. I will not eat a burger or sandwich without cheese, but here, I eat the sandwich the way it comes. They do not add cheese as they keep vegans in mind in their vegetable sandwich but their avocado makes up for it. Their avocado is always so nice and creamy. I am not a big avocado fan but their avocado, I will eat. From what I hear from my friends and roommate, their meat counterparts are also very delicious. All in all, if you're in OKC area and are looking for a good light lunch, than this is the place for you. Not so expensive and they also have desserts. A MUST GO if you live in OKC.

This should have been my first Yelp review. Someplace Else has been a family favorite of mine since I was a really young kid. The folks there are still the same great owners and staff, and I can't get enough of it. The best part is the quality of the food for such and extremely low price. It's rare to find that today, and Someplace Else is always keeping it real (and fresh). My favorite sandwich is the Hoagie, which comes with a tasty green pepper spread. Their rye bread is also excellent, especially on the Pastrami sandwich. Of course, it's a deli & and bakery, so I always get some delicious baked goods. You can roll in there with $3 and leave with upwards of four items from the bakery section. My favorite are the s'mores, which are more of a bar than the traditional graham cracker sandwich, which keeps the treat together really well. I also go for the snickerdoodles (still the best ones I've ever had). Furthermore, you can make some great holiday meals with their croissant roles. It's best to order them a week or so before Thanksgiving or Christmas. You can also get a pretty good sausage biscuit in the a.m. Can't say enough things about my favorite place to eat in OKC!

Someplace Else has been a favorite of mine since about 1992. i'm pretty much set on two sandwiches, either the bacon, avocado, cream cheese, lettuce and tomato on white roll, or the reuben. Usually must have deviled eggs also, if they haven't already run out. And a sweet treat, usually a lemon bar for me. Really busy at lunch, try to get their early or around 1:00. The decor is pretty sparse, but you really don't care. It's the food you're there for.

We got there 30 minutes before closing time, which I thought was fine since it's a deli... not like they have to cook for us, but they were NOT pleased. The guy took our order and tried to make us take it to-go, and was clearly not wanting to serve us. The food was OK, I got the roast beef, my husband got the Reuben. It was priced well, since the sandwich was kinda small... but overall I wasn't impressed. Then as we ate they made sure that we saw they were putting things away and closing down. I just felt very unwelcome, and we only took 10 minutes to eat.

They offer a variety of good choices, but my favorite is what Someplace Else calls # 14 Avocado & Cream Cheese and I call sandwich nirvana. Soft rye bread, avocado, cream cheese, tomatoes, lettuce, and crunchy bacon (with just enough grease to make you fall in love) unite in a sandwich that fits in your hands. The Avocado Cream Cheese probably isn't for everyone, but the shop has a large assortment of sandwiches to choose from. With everything from pastrami and corned beef to tuna salad and a veggie delight that packs a variety of vegetables and flavor, I'm willing to wager that if you can't find a sandwich you love at Someplace Else, you probably... just don't like sandwiches. Someplace Else, on top of baking wonderful breads, sells a variety of freshly baked sweets. At about 25 cents a cookie, their selection is pretty irresistible, and also makes a nice gift to help perk up everyone at the office after lunch. If you have trouble deciding, the staff is happy to help; just let them know which 'wiches you're leaning toward. # 14 Avocado & Cream Cheese add Bacon

Fantastic menu and very economically priced. I had a reuben and it was just the right size and tasted great. I also was tempted by the large selection of cookies...and tasted their sugar cookie and sm'oore cookie...both fantastic! It would take someone a while to try everything on the menu. What are some of the favorites of regulars?

In love someplace else. It's such a "homie" place. the food is extremely well priced and has good portions for lunch. Breakfast is delightful because it tastes homemade and it is inexpensive. My favorite is the fresh cinnamon rolls ( they do day olds for SO cheap) and the individual deviled eggs!! It's great stuff!

This is my new favorite place to stop in the area. I usually go in before they close, and service has always been very fast. You can't go wrong with pretty much any sandwich on the menu. All of them have high quality meat and bread. Eating the bread on a sandwich and liking it is rare for me. Often, I'll just throw out half or all of the bread on whatever sandwich I'm eating. Not so here, as the tastes blend perfectly. Lots of sides available cheaply too. Chips, soups, bananas, cookies. The soups aren't anything special usually, but easily beat something you'd find in a can. The cookies are AMAZING though. I've sampled a lot of bakeries in OKC (Ingrid's, La Baguette, Browns) and Someplace Else easily has the best cookies in town. GO FOR THE COOKIES OM NOM (Also they accept credit cards, a huge plus)

After seeing a lot of positive reviews for this place, I decided to stop in for lunch while roaming around the city looking for a bite to eat. I'm glad that I did! I had a turkey sandwich, and added cheese and bacon (which was hot and crispy, a welcome change from most sandwich shop bacon additions). They also have a delicious assortment of baked treats for such low prices I shake my head at what other businesses charge. Everything was delicious, the staff were all polite and helpful, and it has a quaint hole in the wall charm. I would certainly recommend this to anyone looking for a fresh sandwich with some yummy cookies on the side!

Someplace Else is a wonderful tucked away place with an amazingly witty name. Their sandwiches are a nice change of pace from all the sand which chains around. If you want to "eat fresh" try here. The environment isn't amazing, typically I don't want to stay and eat, but with the seating available, I'm not sure that they are going for that anyways. However, the service is very friendly and helpful with all my (too many) questions. I can be pretty picky when it comes to what goes on my sandwich and they are very patient with me. Every sandwich I've had there was wonderful and the price to portion ration is great. They offer a lot of baked goods as well, I haven't tried them yet, but they always look absolutely delicious.

Someplace Else is my favorite little sandwich shop in OKC. It's a real bargain as most sandwiches are in the $3-$5 range. If you encounter a long line, not to worry. They complete orders during the lunch rush very quickly. Their fresh baked bread is amazing. I normally can't stand rye bread yet their rye is wonderful. Like Kimberly suggested below; try their cream cheese and avocado on rye. It may sound odd but it's fantastic. If you have not tried this OKC landmark, you need to!

Try the cookies! This place is a corner deli that knows how to get people in and out. I went there at lunch and they get people through the line and by the time you've filled your drink they have your sandwich ready. They have a mean vegi sandwich (avacado & sprouts), but I'm a fan of turkey on wheat. I tried their tabouli today and it was a little too aldente. This is such a good little deli and the people who run it have been doing it for ever. I go out of my way to eat here.
